Child On Scooter Struck By Vehicle In Lancaster County (Developing)

A child riding a scooter was hit by a vehicle in Lancaster county on Thursday, Feb. 22, emergency dispatchers said.

The child was struck the intersection of Glenola Drive and East Main Street/Route 23 in Upper Leacock Township at 6:36 a.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.

They were transported to a hospital for treatment, but their condition has not been released. Their age remains unknown at this time.

The vehicle that struck the child remained at the scene, authorities said.

Glenola Drive and East Main Street were shut down while crews responded but have since reopened to traffic.

East Lampeter Township police are investigating.
